Course Summary

Our Advanced Scrambling Course aims to give you the confidence and skills to become independent. Acquiring scrambling skills and confidence will enable you to tackle short steeper sections in the hills which will require using your hands.

Course Content

Covering the essential skills of the Intro to Scrambling Course.

Learning how to move efficiently – good footwork
Route choice and evaluation of the terrain ahead
Basic Rope Work Skills
Building confidence on exposed terrain

We tackle longer more challenging and exposed routes, using a variety of rope work skills including placing leader protection and abseiling.

Experience / Fitness / Ability

This Advanced Scrambling course is suitable for clients with Hill Walking and preferably some previous scrambling experience in the UK.

Course Location

The Advanced Scrambling course is based in Snowdonia, North Wales where there are a wealth of scrambles to choose from depending on the prevailing weather conditions.

The Advanced Scrambling course can also be run in the Lake District and Scotland.

Advanced Scrambling Course

Cost: £200 for 1 person + £20 per extra person.

Ratio: 1:2 maximum.

Number of days: 2 day course.

Included: All Guides fees.

Not included: Transport to and from the course, lunches, insurance, equipment hire.
